need help finding a knife

well on kent state campus the requirements are as such :
under three inches
no automatics
no butterfly knives
I also think no assist only on the basis that campus security is totally stupid.

that's about all the req's nothing about fixed vs. nonfixed...

but i second the training idea...

I say get the pepper spray.
You'll find miles of debates on whether it works or not. IT WORKS.
Those who say it dosen't work have never really experienced it.

I have used it dozens of times and it has worked to al least some effect in every case. Usually it works great.

It will give someone the few seconds it takes to get moving away from the bad guy and make a helluva lot of noise while doing it.

Pepper spray and a whistle. Shoes she can run in.

If this is happening on campus, you need to get the word out VERY loudly and make the campus security/police do something about it NOW.
 
It's a shame your friend has to worry about such things, but that's the state of the world today. If it were by daughter or wife, I'd go with an Emerson La Griffe , HAK or similar knife. She could carry such a knife around her neck and it would be quick to deploy and inconspicuous. I'd probably carry it deployed while walking home alone. It would be very difficult to disarm a women armed with such a knife. Good Luck.
