Hi gang, I'm looking to find a small fixed-blade hunting knife. Ideally, I'd want a stacked leather handle or stag (but other handles can also work)...I want a total length of between 3 and 4 inches...Yes, VERY small! That's the problem...Most "small" hunting knives are too large for my needs and then there are the super mini's that are more of novelty items. Any guidance/direction would be appreciated. Many Thanks in advance!

There are too many in the 3.5 - 4" area to suggest just one ... can you be a bit more specific, what kind of steel, what's your budget, what blade shapes do you like, which tang configuration, etc. ? And BTW, this size might not be very sexy compared to larger knives, but under the bottom line, it's the most useful EDC blade size IMO, unless you carry your fixed blade with a smaller 2nd knife (e.g., a folder).

Also, you might want to regularly check our exchange and the fixed blades being sold by BF knife makers. For example, I just received this custom made one from Greece, that might already fit your needs.

I think the OP is looking for a knife in total length, not the blade. Which is going to really limit the number of choices

What are you planning on using the knife for? 3-4" is really small.

just odds and ends...An alternative to a folder...but of course, pocketable!

Tom Krein makes some beautiful little hunting knives. Very pocketable. Check him out.

Maybe a Giant Mouse GMF1 but I only like it with scales. Amstutz Designs makes various scales for them. Oak City Leather does leather scales for them.

TOPS might have something. Check out their website.

The ESEE Candiru is ~5.125 inches, and that sucker is small. I don’t own one personally because the Izula seems more practical to me. Unfortunately that doesn’t help you much, because you’re still searching for something at least one full inch shorter than the candiru.

edit: I took too long to post. Someone already mentioned the Candiru, haha.

Whats that TOPS model in green? Love the design on that one

How about the MKM Mikro. Just over 4" OAL. The multi position sheath and large finger groove make it very versatile. Or for something with higher end scales check out the Arno Bernard "bush baby" series. Closer to 5 1/2" OAL, but beautiful knives.
