Need help finding a small fixed-blade edc

G Glenridgerich , you really should check out the ESEE Candiru as others have mentioned. You’ve got me really curious where that knife would be too big? I EDC one every day.

That’s the Tibo with aftermarket scales. I think it’s discontinued.
What a shame. I think it's an awesome shape.
How about the MKM Mikro. Just over 4" OAL. The multi position sheath and large finger groove make it very versatile. Or for something with higher end scales check out the Arno Bernard "bush baby" series. Closer to 5 1/2" OAL, but beautiful knives.

I second this as well. I think these are neat little blades. You're not gonna find much more in this size range

Not sure of the OAL, but they look great.

Helle has a few that might suit your needs, like the Mandra or Nying

Edit: you might also consider one of the many small, skeleton-handled Ka-Bars, like the Dozier fixed blade, or Remora (which is on the REAL small end of things). You could add/create any number of handle types for these.

Might I suggest checking out LT Wright knives? He has some small fixed blade offerings. Great blend of modern and traditional. You can find them on his website but DLT trading usually has quite a lot of them in stock.

J Hoffman has some small, ones right now in the exchange, like a two finger grip.

Roselli makes.a.couple.of small ones like you are looking for in regular carbon steel & his high carbon steel too! You can find most.of his stuff and more at Ragweed forge. com!!

There are some right up your alley for sale in the knifemakers for sale area under fixed blades!! They are called limericks!! Good luck!

The Ontario Knives "Little Bird" meets your size requirements, but they've been discontinued, and the scales are micarta
You should look at something called a "kiridashi". It's a style of knife that's easy to make (so you can get a custom for low $$), and it may be what you're looking for.

Love these types of discussion. Let's me bust out some older less used knives. This is my BHK Frontier First "Patch" Knife with a Bugout for size comparison. Hard to believe how small it really is until you have something side by side. It cuts well above its weight class really.

Price range? I'll link a few from BHq for easy reference.

ESEE makes a great knife with a great warranty. Checks most of the boxes. You could handles made if you want.

I don’t know how I missed that WE, evidently I need to check their lineup more often. Lundquist design?..I’m interested. 👍

Try Anza knives. They have a few close to your 4”, and quite a few from 6” to 7” OAL, which is what I consider about right for a pocketable fixed blade.

I'm with you OP, there's just something natural and innate you get with stacked leather or stag or even wood too handles that isn't the same as the newer materials like G10.

Great ideas posted so far!

Dozier knives.
You won't look back. You may buy another hunting knife, cuz you want it, but you won't need it. :)
AG Russell has them for immediate delivery as do many of the bigger purveyors.

The whole gang. I think....

And the best part is that they come with the best kydex sheath in the business.

Hi gang, I'm looking to find a small fixed-blade hunting knife. Ideally, I'd want a stacked leather handle or stag (but other handles can also work)...I want a total length of between 3 and 4 inches...Yes, VERY small! That's the problem...Most "small" hunting knives are too large for my needs and then there are the super mini's that are more of novelty items. Any guidance/direction would be appreciated. Many Thanks in advance!
The Izula has served me well as a small fixed knife. I’d recommend the Izula II since the handle is half a inch longer and it usually comes with micarta scales if memory serves right.
