What is that? bottom row, middle. with all them saw teeth on it. WTH is that?
I was going to ask the same thing. That's an impressive blanket.
that's the legendary "Helicopter Egress Tool" aka BK8 BK-8 BK08 BK-08 depending on who you're talking to

for general ease of identification, the models are in order

also, it's a sarong, so it's fairly large as "blankets" go

This is a very impressive collection. The knife nut in me would love to have the kind of money to spend on getting everyone of these fine blades. But I am a very poor man with a family on a very small budget and can not purchase a stock pile of blades. ...snip...
You made an excellent choice of where to spend your limited knife budget. You'll use and enjoy the ones you have and won't have to agonize over which one to take. You seem like a responsible guy. Hope you get a few as gifts.
well, remember, it's not like i just went out and BOUGHT all these over night - oh no - this is the work of almost 30 years

i bought my first Becker in the early 80s... a Machax as it were, spoke to Ethan about the purchase myself when he was in Cincinnati, agonizing over the Campanion or the Machax... this was before they were BK2 and BK4! as a high-schooler/college-student, money was super tight. that's the first one pictured, and i have to say, i successfully kept it away from my brother and his thieving friends too

since then, i've been finding them in dribs and dribs, often used, sometimes new, at very good prices. it's kind of like a game that way. no hurry. a precious few, i paid good money, when i had it, to get, because they're sneaky beasts some few models. one of those campanions was $25 new in box

some knives come and go, and other things, but for the most part, the Beckers are staying... sometimes i get a few extra of a given model, and those get traded out, but we're talking less than six in decades

i'll be taking the Machax to Valhalla
