My dad's birthday is coming up and i want to get him a ZT because he commented on how nice they were.
I know a wood scale would put it over the top for him. I can't find anywhere that has wood scales on hand.
I haven't ordered a knife yet because I want to make sure I can get wood scales for whatever model I end up with.
Do you know where I can order ZT wood scales?

Depending on what model you go with, if I can find a friend locally with that model, I can make you some. Let me know what model or models you are thinking about and I'll check with my ZT hoarding buddies.

And just to be clear, I'm not offering to do this for profit. I don't think I'm allowed to do that being a registered user, and wouldn't anyway, as I'm not a professional scale maker. I just know how to make them and like doing it. Like Colorodo said, you'd likely be best served by the link he provided. However, if you can't find what you want, or can't find someone to do it, I'll do it if you send me materials and pay for shipping.

If you were considering the 0562 model, I'm up and currently making presentation side scales for it, though I haven't done any in wood yet... but I've been meaning to : ) Curly maple, cocobolo, burl, etc. would all be very sweet. I've seen a few other custom makers here do some beautiful wood work on ZTs.

Getting one of the makers here to make one is going to be the best bet. I don't know if anyone stocks them on hand

Just saw your stuff, looks really nice... well done

Just a quick "thank you" to each of you who offered support and services. I was able to make contact with a maker who is putting together something nice in my price range.
Thanks again!
