Need help fixing a Case Peanut

I just joined the Peanut craze and I got one that does not open all the way.

It does not lock into the open position because the tang hits the spring too soon. I was wondering if anyone knows a quick fix for this?....like maybe filing the end of the tang down?

Basically the spring still sticks out all the way in open position. If I look close I can see the tang meets the spring too soon. So the blade kinda points down more than it should.

Oh! and there is no snap.

I hate to send it back because I like the knife. Is there anyone on here that works on peanut knives? Like does file work ect?
