need help for a steel supplier

Reality is there IS a tarrif on imported steel and it WILL be passed on to the consumer. Us steel plants aren't going to reopen long closed facilities unless things get insanely expensive. So all the tarrifs have done is increase the cost to the consumer, and hurt the sellers bottom line via lost sales.

I hadn’t considered one thing. If one compares a CPM, or other high alloy PM steel to something like 1084, etc., the price can be 2, 3, even 4 Times the cost of the simple carbons. For someone like me who ONLY uses CPM steels, any added cost due to Tarrifs would be much less noticed.

Even so, the places point out by myself & others have plenty of steel in smaller sizes. And prices may go up some, but it’s not going to break anybody’s bank. Of course, the left is certainly going to use it as a talking point. Another bit to mask their failure, and current admin’s success.

To the OP, check Alpha. Got an email day or two ago, and they just got some new sizes of steel in stock. Not sure what you are looking for.

Njsb- awesome, flattest and most parallel non precision ground steel ive found, helps a lot. Alpha knife supply has a little more variety. Happy with both so far, njsb being my favorite
