Hello. My first post here. I'm pretty new to custom knife collecting and own only a few pieces. I live in Alabama and plan to attend the Blade show in Atlanta in June. I was hoping that you folks could lend me your experience. Which other shows are pretty good? Are there any good shows (beside Atlanta)in the South East (like Nashville or Tunica)? Specifically, which shows tend to have Emerson Customs in them for sale??? Thanks in advance for your help. Chuck

Chuck, you may want to try the Knifemakers Guild Show in Orlando next year. I'm fairly sure Ernie will be there.

July 27th, 28th & 29th, 2001 Marriott Orlando World Center

I'll be there

John

i am jealous i live too far away to attend the show and cannot take time off... congadualtions on posting. You know now there is no turning back

Royo, you are correct, there is no turning back. I've been bitten by the custom knife bug hard. Mr. Holister, the Orlando show sounds like a must attend. I'm lucky, as long as my wife gets a trip to a pretty cool place, she is all for a knife show. I appreciate the information and would like to hear from others. I've been very impressed with the wealth of knowledge in the Emerson Forum and Blade Forum overall. I've been a member of several firearm boards (I collect H & K handguns also) where criticism and flame wars are very common. From the posts I've read, in most cases you folks seem to handle disagreements in a very mature manner and seem to have room for everyone's opinion. Again thanks for the help!!!!

CCM:

Welcome to the Emerson Forum. If you love Emerson Customs you're certainly in good company!

If you own any Emerson Customs let us know what you've got, or if you're bashful e-mail me personally and I'll get your knives accounted for in the Gallery.

Hey, CCM! I'm new here too, and like you, I've been impressed with the overall "feel" of this forum. No Emersons yet (unless you count the Benchmade CQC7 knock-off), but I remain hopefull that a rich benefactor will leave me much dough, with which I can get a CQC6, which I've been lusting after (but not able to afford) for some time now.

Hopefully, I'll be on here often enough to be considered a "Suspect" in short order.
