I'm going to make another knife soon, O1 steel wharncliff with a thumb ramp and slight finger guard. The problem is I'm stuck on the handle design. If you don't mind me using your ideas, could you post a picture of your favorite handle designs please. Thank you in advance.

i dont know if this will help... but i made one i thought could use a little improvment but had a good start the black one in the middle had the best handle shape i thought. hope this helps some

you are way more hgh tech than me. i use a pencil

looks good, but i would lessen the height of the tumb ramp... it looks humpbacked. (thats my personal opinion)
great work!

I lowered the thumb ramp and raised the spine of the knife a bit. What do you think about the finger guard, should I nix it?

I would slightly de-emphasise (sp?) the guard and add a choil- hmm, that might work better with a higher handle angle- I don't know- doesn't cost anything to draw it!

looke like the handle needs to be a tad longer. I always find that what seems to work on paper is always a tad short once you actually add handle material. Just my experience but one I am glad I pay attention to because it gives me better feeling handles in the long run.

After I sketch out a knife, I photo copy it and glue it to some 1/4" hard board. then I cut and profile the hard board. I use this to get a rough feel for the knife. Its easy to reshape if you want. You can also use it for a template to transfer your pattern on to your stock.

I think I'll do that hardboard board prototype, that's a good idea. I CNC cut out the knife, so I won't need to use it to transfer the pattern.
