Need help - how to securely carry small Sebenza in my front pocket?

Hey everyone. I started carrying my new small ROF on the CR sheath; however, I'm deathly afraid of it falling out of my pocket.

I would love to hear suggestions on how I can securely carry it without the possibility of accidentally dropping it. My initial thought is to use a lanyard that clips onto my belt loop. It would look a little tacky in my opinion but I'd rather not take any chances. I prefer to carry it on the CR sheath in my front pocket; not a big fan of sheaths that clip on the belt.

Maybe I can carry in my back pocket but that might be uncomfortable.

Any suggestions for a lanyard or other ideas? Thanks in advance! And of course, pictures would be a huge help.

First of all, kudos for having the nerve to carry that masterpiece. William Henry makes leather slip cases similar to CR's, but with a pocket clip (for their knives that don't have clips). You could probably search ebay for one. Gotta be someone who is willing to sell one.

Its' the only way i just could justify the cost (to use the heck out of it) :)

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll check out WH.

I carry a small sebenza in its pouch in my slacks pocket (slipper pockets) and had never had it fall out.

if I clip, it falls out at least once a day.

it now ALWAYS stays in pouch inside slacks/jean pockets.

AG Russell website has some very nice leather pocket sheaths with a fold over tuck in tab. I have used them & they are well made & prevent knife falling out of sheath.

I assuming your worried about losing the entire package, sheath and all. I'm guessing you wear loose pocket pants like chinos maybe? You could put a small rubber band around the sheath to add friction or have a custom pocket sheath made with the suede side out to grab your pocket. This one doesnt slip at all.

Thanks, will check them out as well.

You can try Paul long ("sheathmaker" here on the forum) for a clip pouch. He does what are easily the best leather sheaths I have seen. :)

I agree with others on the clip pouch or clip case as William Henry calls them. I have a couple nice WH knives with Damascus. The one that as a clip case has never come close to falling out.

Ok, i don't have any ideas for your problem, but, wow, how many layers is that damascus?
The only damascus knife i can afford is a damascus kershaw shallot.
Props for carrying that by the way, i rarely hear of someone carrying damascus knives

I'll have to send you one to play with some time, to make up for that knife you didn't win. :D:thumbup:

Many people use their damascus CRKs as well as hand made knives, it's perfectly useable steel in every way. :)

Pouch in pocket is how I carry my 21. I left the clip on, not having a filler replacement, but it's still unobtrusive and occasionally useful (but not for carrying).

I saw some of his work and the sharky looks awesome.

I agree with Haze. I carry my Mnandi in a Paul Long Sheath and highly recommend looking into one for your RoF Sebenza. Not only does he make fantastic sheaths but he is an exceptional individual.
BTW, gorgeous Sebenza.

Thanks for sharing, sir!

That's how I've been carrying mine as well but I'm a bit paranoid as it will be hard and costly to replace :)

Thanks for the input and compliment :)

Maybe take a look at a Remora brand magazine holder, or contact Remora about custom making a knife sheath.

Now me, I believe that ROF would NEVER leave my right hand. WOW!!

Paul long as well. I have mnandi, small and large sheaths from him.
