Need help identifying a copper/brass handled hunting knife?

Hello,

I picked this knife up with several others at a flea market not long ago. I have only recently started collecting fixed blade knifes and have a lot to learn, so I may be way off base here but to me, it looks like a hand made hunting knife with a unique copper and brass handle. I don't see any apparent markings. If anyone out there could point me in the right direction so I can learn more about it, I would be grateful.

Thank you!

Looks like a "trench knife" made from the remains of a bayonet. I don't know much about them but pretty common during war for soldiers to make knives out of what ever they could find.

yeah I would say that's a production blade with a handle someone put on there probably after the first one broke. Not sure what production model it would be though.
