Need help identifying a kukri

I bought this kukri for £10 in an antique shop in Lincs, UK. It had not been stored or treated with any particular care, the wood and leather are virtually rotten beyond repair, the moisture had rusted the blade especially on one side. I managed to remove 99% of the rust, although it has eaten quite deep into the steel in places. There are no stamps or distinguishing marks anywhere that I can see, but then I'm no expert, just an enthusiast. I took it into another local antiques dealer, who is quite keen on his kukris, and he seems to think it is genuine, rather than a replica. If anybody has anything they can find from looking at the blade I'd be thankful.

Edit: Blade length is 13", handle length is 4" and the widest part of the blade is 2"

Apologies for the bad photography!

Well right, it is a "genuine" khukri and somewhat old judging by the sheath and style of the grip. Perhaps some old India soldier or bureaucrat brought it back years ago. Looks like a nice well-balanced blade...
It would help if you included the blade length and width (straight across from the grip-blade intersection to the tip, and the width at the belly and the slenderest part), and details about the grip, length, whether it is a full or rat tail tang.
The sheath seems about typical for an older khuk- thin leather around wood, well worn and nigh rotted. It could be left as-is and another heavier leather sheath made for it if you want to use it.
Sharpening can be started with a bastard file- pushing away from the edge not toward the edge- and finished off with stones to get a very sharp edge. You might find the belly of the blade somewhat harder the back and rest of the blade.
I like a good khukri and have a small collection, all of which Ive carried while camping or day-tripping in the Colorado Rockies.. Best wishes and good luck! Dun

Hey thanks for the input, I've added the measurements to the original post, but I'll put them here as well; 13" blade, 4" handle and 2" wide blade at its widest point.
