[/IMG]Old yellow handled double blade knife. It has been a really good knife so I'm just kind of wondering who made it. It has no identifying marks on the knife other than a gold circle on the handle, but it doesn't have any kind of engraving or logo on it. Maybe somebody here could help. Thanks

Kevin,

Posting a picture would be much more beneficial if you want help identifying this knife. Several pictures would be even better.

I'm looking for help identifying an animal I saw. It has four legs, teeth, and black fur... I don't know how big it is but it had brown on it's side too.

See how many animals that might be? It's very hard to identify with such few details, but there are a lot of very smart people here who can help if given more supporting details.

Nila is right. We need photos.

The amount knives with two blades in an almost countless amount of configurations that have yellow scales makes this question near impossible to answer unless you can provide some of the following, and the more the better.
A: a photo of the stamp on the base of the main blade (tang stamp)
B: a photo of the knife as a whole
C: a photo of the shield (the gold disc)
D: you tell us what it says on the tang stamp and what is on the shield, a tree, words, a dog's head...
E: is rusted/patina'd at all?

But on a guess and Only due to the round shield, I was thinking a Bear & sons trapper:

A boker tree brand:

Or a Moore maker (the bottom knife pictured):

The top three knives, in total, show a trapper pattern and the bottom one is a muskrat jack.

Hey, sorry..I'm new to this site and was trying to figure out the best way to get my photos a url..hope the updated status helps. Thanks

I am no expert and probably shouldn't open my mouth. However, unless the shield has been replaced, and with the lack of a tang stamp, plus looking and the issues with fit and finish, I am going to venture that it is a Chinese made knife.
