Hi guys, I got this knife a while ago at a yard sale simply because it was cheap and I liked the look of it. Now that I think about it, I would like to know more about it. Can anyone tell me what kind of knife this is, where it is from, and when it was made? There are no visible markings that I can see except for the mark on the handle. Thanks

It looks to me like one of the inexpensive "kit" knives I saw many years ago. Basically, they were kits containing all the different parts, a rough wood handle, and the purchaser would assemble the knife, do the finish work, and customize it to their own liking.

I'd bet anything that the spiked pommel is threaded onto a rat-tail tang. That's how I remember the kits. The wood also looks like the wood used for the kit knife handles that I remember.

If I were you, I wouldn't hold out hope of learning the history and lineage of the knife. Perhaps you could ask the person you bought it from. Beyond that, enjoy your purchase. And welcome to Bladeforums. :)
