I like my RC-3 MIL best but after some mods this weekend the Rc-4 is getting close. I never like it as much because of the short handle and long unweildy blade. I though "what to do - I need to get the cutting edg closer to my clenched fist like the RC-3 or Izula."
I got my dremmel out and taped the blade over and opened the forward area of the "small" finger choil up so that it's now comortable to grip it and rip it in the finger forwad position. I blunted the back of the blade where the front of the finger rests in the choil and painted the small shiny spot that the mod created.
Very nice fit now when choked up on and safe too. I also re-profiled the obtuse edge whic was well over 40* inclusive on DMT stones and put a mirror edge on it. It's hard to believe that the thich RC-4 blade now slices full 11 inch sliver of copy paper efforlessly.
I'm very pleased with it now for the first time in a good while.
