NEED HELP looking for a new fixed blade

I like my RC-3 MIL best but after some mods this weekend the Rc-4 is getting close. I never like it as much because of the short handle and long unweildy blade. I though "what to do - I need to get the cutting edg closer to my clenched fist like the RC-3 or Izula."

I got my dremmel out and taped the blade over and opened the forward area of the "small" finger choil up so that it's now comortable to grip it and rip it in the finger forwad position. I blunted the back of the blade where the front of the finger rests in the choil and painted the small shiny spot that the mod created.

Very nice fit now when choked up on and safe too. I also re-profiled the obtuse edge whic was well over 40* inclusive on DMT stones and put a mirror edge on it. It's hard to believe that the thich RC-4 blade now slices full 11 inch sliver of copy paper efforlessly.

I'm very pleased with it now for the first time in a good while. :D

i think i will be getting the bk7 or perhaps the 9 i like the idea that i can get the knife for relatively cheap and invest in kydex sheath and micarta later on if i find i really like the blade.

few questions i have are:
is this worth doing? buying the knife and spending more then the cost of the knife itself on sheath and micarta?
where can i get a good kydex sheath for relatively cheap? any micarta options?

Yeah, kill all your birds with one stone and get the Esee Junglas a 10" beast of a chopper, 1095 steel, micarta handle, no questions asked, transferable guarantee, extremely sharp out of the box and the nicest (adjustable) kydex sheath I've seen. All for $160 and don't look back!
