Need help on which Spyderco to buy

I still have not handled any of the sage series but the are on the list of wants. Funny I got my Caly in a trade as well and I love it, even more funny is I traded a Manix2 for it that I really didnt care for and everyone in this thread is recommending the Manix2. :o I have never really cared about lock type, I can close them all one handed. Thats all that really matters to me.

I had a Manix 2 LW in a Carpenter steel I got in trade. I wasn't impressed at all, I sold it. I figure I need one in G10 and a better steel to appreciate it or at least give it a fair shake.

That's funny...I like my Caly 3 and 3.5, but I'd trade either away before my Manix or PM2's.

I really like the Manix2. I think the "bang for the buck" is unbeatable in that price range and recommend it to people that dont mind the size. For me it was just to large to carry comfortably.

Have you looked at a gayle bradley. I bring it up for two reasons. One, As spydercos go, and I own at least 20, it is the sturdiest I own. And two, the guy who designed it is a wood cutting champion.

I don't know about self defense, but if worse came to worst, you could always hit someone with it.

Paramilitary 2 or Manix 2 :D Both are excellent knives. It really all comes down to which you like better. I have 2 Para 2s, and have a friend with a Manix, and I definitely prefer the compression lock to the CBBL. It's all personal preference though. They're both around the same size, similar price, S30v, and they're both strong knives.

I never liked the looks of the Caly but after one day of carrying it I won't even carry my PM2 anymore.

THIS is a concept that is hard for me to grasp. Guess I need to save back the funds for a Caly now....I don't know why I even bother thinking I'm going to spend my fun money on anything but new Spydercos...
