Hello everyone, I need some input from the pros out there.
I am looking for a budget fixed blade that comes with kydex sheath.
Blade length needs to be under 3" and carry very comfortable.
Unless the customs are very affordable, I am not looking to drop 100 bucks on this little guy, as I plan to beat the crap out of it.
Thanks for the help.

Why is everyone suggesting knives without scales?

Knives without scales are okay for occasional or light use. If I'm using a knife for construction, I want something that is comfortable with a nice hand-filling grip.

Because you want a budget knife that is quality and is small. Most of these knives won't have scales. You get what you pay for. If you want to drop 40 bucks on one with scales you will be getting crap as far as I have seen.

I beat up a CRKT Crawford Falcon (FB) for years on and off in an oilfield warehouse and it did a bang up job, at a nice low price. The steel is not the best but it did everything I needed it to.

The BK11 has scales!! All you gotta do is order them. They should be out within a month.Green micarta they will be! I can't wait! I'm pretty sure you will be able to buy the BK11 with the scales already installed, around the same time as well. But don't quote me on that it could be just the scales they'll be selling.

Seems like the Izula is the overall favorite. I will begin looking into them, thanks everyone.

An Ontario RAT-3 or a RAT Cutlery RC-3 would be an option if you're looking for a knife with scales. Most of the knives listed above are neck knives- which need to be thin and light- hence the skeleton handles.

exactly on point...an Izula for construction work?...maybe the RAT 3; i'd want a comfortable handle...but if it's going to be abused in construction work, hmmm.....then again, why not; it's a tool, don't baby it, put it to work...

my personal choice for such a situation would be a zt121, but that +$100...

Is there a way to carry the Izula on the belt? I would prefer belt carry to neck carry.
