I'm also about to pick up another BHQ M4 Millie and a new CQI Ti Millie and do a blade swap. M4 in an all Ti frame, man, it's getting me worked up just thinking about it!

Can anybody comment on any usability difference? Of course the fine motor skills ard basically the same, but what about the feel? Stuff like stiffer/weaker lock bars, smoothness of the pivot, ext. Does the G10 flex side to side?
I'm sure the lock strength is fine on both, so that's a non-issue. I've really come to the opinion that knife strength and durability has become a little bit overblown. That's why I'm retiring my Benchmade. Yes, it's built like a tank. Well, I live in the city and don't really need a tank. I need to open mail, and cut up chicken and ribs on the grill. Hard use? Pruning figs and grapes in the spring and cutting back tiger grass and rose bushes in the fall. Kinda like why I drive a Mazda6 and not a M3 Bradley.

I have two kw s90v cf/ti militarys and both are a bit tight. But that is fine with me. I believe they will bteak in over time. Feel good in hand. Actually all my millies feel great. No - g10 does not flex.

Between my two flavors of Military, the 204P liner lock and the S90V frame lock:

The frame lock does have more load in it; like a stiffer spring, if you will. So the action feels more stiff, the detent is stronger and takes little more to open it, and also requires more pressure to disengage and close it. This is not an issue for me, just an observation. If you move either lock away from the blade, they both free drop and both are equally smooth.

In terms of the steel. I only had the S90V Military a short time, but I do have a different knife in this steel. For me, both steels are relatively easy to keep sharp or to touch up. I don't let my knives become too dull, so not sure which lasts longer, or which is more difficult to re-profile.

Both the G10 and the textured CF feel very similar in terms of grip. On the other side, the clip takes up almost 1/2 of the handle, so the difference between the Ti and the G10 is little less obvious when it comes to grip. What is little more apparent is the 1/2 oz. weight difference. Lighter is better for me.

Although this frame lock Military will not replace my beloved 204P, I am glad I got it.

Went ahead and ordered the Ti/Cf model today. Figured at that price, even if I hate it and decide to sell it I shouldn't lose much if any. Keeping my eyes open for a G-10 version either on sale or the exchange. Thanks for the input. This will be my first spyderco and my first framelock. I hope I get I good one.
