need help ... rat 1 folder

i know its the rat forum ...sry...

please help me !

i have a ontario rat 1 folder and my handle is frn ( made in taiwan ).
i read in many i-shops, g10 is the handle material ...:confused:
has the old version " made in usa " g10 handle's?

I am no expert here, but I have seen people talk about a "Made in USA" vs. the "Made in Taiwan" Ontario Rat 1. I was planning on purchasing one and ran into people talking about this same subject.

Those more knowledgeable than I in the RAT Lore can probably help more. I for one haven't a clue.

There is not a USA RAT 1 folder , the only one was made by Ontario RAT1 folder was a USA Idea(Jeff & Mike) produced in Taiwan. I owned one.... not a USA production folder until RAT Cutlery makes one (which has yet to be made)
 
The Ontario Model 1 folder was designed by RAT and made in Taiwan. There has never been a RAT folder made in the USA. That's coming though from RAT Cutlery.

Ahem....and how long do we have to wait? Not too long, right? :thumbup:
 
The handle material is not G10 because G10 has to be imported into Taiwan for use. Paul Lin used a Zytel plastic similar to G10. No part of the Model 1 folder was made in USA.
