If you look at my knife collection you'll notice I have a bunch of Spyderco's and none of the others. :) I think you made the right decision.

Congrats on your knife choices!! I look forward to hearing from you when they arrive!!

Yep, Spyder knives are great for EDC! Look at the Native I/III and the Mini Manix too! ;)

Nice to see another spanish guy in the forums! :D My vote goes for Spyderco too but I reccomend you taking a look to a Benchmade Minigriptilian (especially the Dough Ritter version) or any other benchmade model, I like Spydies and Benchmades a lot, both have great knives. I warn you, after the first ones you just can't stop getting more and more ;)

Por cierto, dónde los has comprado? Para próximas ocasiones te recomiendo www.bestknives.com, rápido y sin problemas en aduanas!

Of the knives and makers you mention, I'd go with Spyderco, no question. Can't say which model is best for you, I don't like all their designs. I would recommend looking for a Spyderco model that uses VG-10 steel, which is terrific IMO.

Hello,
Thanks for all yours answers and help, I got both knives (Endura and Assist) this week, both seems strong with a blade wider than I've normally seen (for example wider than my Wichard considered to be a correct marine duty knife). They are also really sharp out of the box, you can shave your forehand easily  (of course, if you feel you need it and don't care about an accidental suicide :D ). Both are easy to open one handed although not assisted. Blades of both are made with VG 10 steel and made in Seki-City (Japan). If you have any question about the Assist (I assume everybody is more or less familiar with the Endura) I will be happy to try to help. I want to thank you to convince me to give a try to Spyderco as I considered them before a little bit on the "ugly" aspect :o but they really desserve a "try and decide":) .

Best regards from Mallorca, thanks to all again :p

I would looking into the Spyderco Atlantic Salt because if your using it to cut seat belts then you probably dont want to have a sharp point on the knife. The salt offers great cutting power and will need basically no upkeep sitting in your glove compartment. I definitely reccomend you stick with Spyderco for this knife since you may be betting your life on it.
