I know the picture is real bad that is why I'm asking you guys who know better about knifes.... This is what I can tell in the images I have.
1. Straight blade (no schrade)
2. Folding knife.
3. White part of handle in only on 1 side, and it is not the full handle... Appears to like an inlay of white on the black handle
4. The images were taken on NV cameras so hence the b/w images
5. The opposite handle is a solid black or dark color.
6. The blade is polished or silver.
7. There is a thumb post on the blade.
8. The locking mechanism is on the front of the handle in the finger grove.
9. There appears to be a raised logo at the folding point that looks like a circle with an eagle in it as well.
First, and possibly most important, the proper pluralization of a knife is knives, not knifes. (common mistake)
Second, we're probably going to need more data. If you have an image clear enough to discern the emblem of an eagle then please post it, along with any other images of equal or greater clarity.
Third, you can identify yourself--even vaguely. We won't bite. If the knife was used during the commission of a crime, you may get more input.
The knife was used by a person vandalizing my property. I'm trying to get a idea on the type of knife it could be. The images were taken from my cameras and its a still shot of the video. I have looked at over 20,000 knife images on many different websites and have not found anything like this, so I am assuming it is really cheap or not very common. I thought that I might find someone in community of Knife experts that might know. Any information will help me as I provide these images to the police for their investigation.
The logo response got me to looking at logo images and I found a very similar knife S&W Scrimshaw knife looks very close, and S&W's logo is in a circle.
That is one hell of a bad pair of pictures. Folks usually ask for a picture where the knife can be seen, not this kind of shot. Help us help you, but if that is all you got, you ain;t gonna get much help. It can literally be any of hundreds of knives from expensive customs to cheap gas station knives.
