Need help with a specific ID

I recently picked this knife up, and think I have it ID'd but I would like to know for sure, and get a little more information about it.

I believe it's a Tomcat II. The blade etch of "20" and "1986 - 2006" seems to indicate that this was made in 2006 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of SOG, I think, since I read that the Tomcat wasn't introduced until 1988. As I correct? Does anyone have any other information about this one? Thanks!







 
Yes looks like a SOG Tomcat II. Blade is Aus6 and handle is kraton over stainless steel.

I seem to have an identical knife but its 35 years old and doesn't have a thumb stud
 
1986 - 2006 = 20 years
Its currently 2015.
Wow! 29 years since the first tom cat.
Honestly wondering
Just how well the kraton scales
On vintage models are holding up.

You have the original Tomcat. It had a fingernail groove instead of the thumbstud.
1988 Blade Magazine Knife of the Year.
