I have an older Richmond made Ek model SF. I am guessing it was made in the late 80's or early 90's. Here is the interesting part. The knife has the following engraved on the blade. 1st line reads Presented To. 2nd line reads BOB BROWN. 3rd and final line is by The American Historical Foundation. When I was in my teens I remember seeing the old Ek ads in SOF all the time. I even remember seeing a few blurbs in the mag about the company and it's knives. It seemed to me at the time the SOF staff liked the knives. But I was young and dumb so who knows. I tried in the past to contact The American Historical Foundation via email and never got a reply. Can anyone help me find out if this was presented to Robert K. Brown of SOF fame? I am not sure what that would do if anything to the value of the knife but I would really like to know more about it. It came with the sheath and the old style black Ek box. I have a very large scan on my knife pic site. The file is named bobbrownsf and the url for the site is listed below. You can barley make out the engraving in the scan due to the finnish of the blade. Seeing how slow that file dl's just now I have now added a smaller file named bobbrownsf2.
