I was wondering if this blower from blacksmithsdepote.com has a speed control on it?

Thanks people.

I have the 112 CFM version. It is way more than one needs in a gas forge, but it is quite cool. I keep the gate open all of 1/4" and still throttle it back before the forge. :D

The one person I know who bought the 164 says it is quite on the overkill side.

No speed controls on these. They are known for high static pressure. Very "Tool Time"! You' d better have a LARGE forge.

Thanks for all of the help, my forge is small (when I get it set up it will be). So, now just a few more questions.
Question 1. What is a dimmer switch (sorry I'm just now getting into tools and gadgets and stuff like that).
and Question 2. I really like this blower http://surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UI...tname=electric (the one Mr. Spangler suggested) great price, just does anyone know if it is speed adjustable or can be mad to somehow?
Thanks for all of your help people.

I have always used a gate valve to control the air flow. Just recently I tried wiring in an electronic speed control and there is too much delay. The blower takes several seconds to spool up or down. A choke is much more sensitive for precise air flow.

I just bought a couple of those blowers a few weeks ago and they put out a good air flow. It took some research to find out the CFM rating (136-150)since they did not list it. I even emailed Surplus Center to let them know since when I asked initially they were not able to tell me. But it appears they have not got around to updating the listing.

haha, thanks, at least I won't have to do research for that now.
