I am currently looking at some form of fixed blade as an edc and plan to carry it in a sharpshooter allegheny sheath. Mostly front pocket. I have been looking around and checking out some of the options from bark river, etc. I am really wondering how the spyderco street beat would fit in this sheath, as I dont know how fat the handle slabs are. Is it possible for anyone to post a picture of the street beat in the allegheny sheath for me? Or recommend other fixed blades that are good for pocket carry. I am looking for something in a steel that is more stainless as it will be an edc and not so much a bushcraft blade. Any comments are appreciated.

A small BHK Cascade (D2, but mine has never had any corrosion issues) or a BRK Little Drop Point Hunter should both fit in the Allegheny. I have one of them that I use for my Izula 2. That's the FB that I'd recommend to you first, even though it's not stainless. The coated 1095 should be fine for EDC, that's how I use mine. If you really want SS, one of the Bravo neckers should carry well in an Allegheny.

I would ask Alan Davis to make you one. He will do any type of steel and handle. I have one of his folders and he is getting ready to make me another with my specs! Good luck! Kevin :D
