My son. He kayaks in Florida in salt water. What would be a good fixed blade with sheath for him that is the most rust resistant for under $150

What about any of the Salt series from Spyderco? They use H1 steel which is resistant.
But also don't forget to wash and dry after exposure.

I cannot add much to this thread other than agreeing on Spyderco's SALT Series.
I only have personal experience with H1 and can attest to it's corrosion resistance. I recommend the serrated edge over the plain edge in this steel.

Fixed?

Spyderco Aqua Salt in H1 steel with TiNi coating for maximum corrosion resistance.

There's one on eB*y for $128 right now. Others asking $138.

Kayak salt water fishing. Check out Lance Clinton's kayak work on YouTube..Costa Rica..cool dude, some great vids. Used to be on board here under..Surfing Gringo..? I think? Not sure if he still is. .worked w/ Spyderco on a kayak fisher, specific..Branded w/ his logo. Cool story, great looking knife w/ a lot of honest R&D..apologies..I cannot remember the model name.

Like everyone said, I think my top choice is Spyderco Salt series, that's a no brainer.

Just for brainstorming, I don't own the following, but Mora do have this stainless 'floating knife' which could come in handy. And it is not too expensive. Maybe owner of this could comment on whether it is a good knife or not?

Pretty sure he's still around. The knife you're thinking of is probably the Waterway.
