I recently installed a Grizzly 6x12 manual surface grinder. I have overheated two .25" thick profiled knives by overheating on surface grinder and cause them to warp.

I changed my grinder wheel and am making less aggressive passes on my surface grinder. What is best way to try and straighten these flat thickness blanks so I can resurface grind?

Are they still annealed, or HT'd?

If annealed, they can probably be bent by hand....edge of a work bench, secured in a vice, etc.

If HT'd, some report success by securing them to a straight angle and bending them the opposite way over something and sticking them back in the HT oven at temper temperature.

Thanks Adam, they are annealed, or as I received them from Aldo, but am unsure if they have work hardened any from the heat build up in profile grinding and initial surface grinding.

Yeah, sorry...not sure.

If you're not sure, you can anneal it again if you have an oven.

1200 F stress relieve is the cure for warp .That way you don't have to go throught he entire full anneal cycle. If you are trying to straighten a warped hardened blade never try at below 400 F.
