I am really new to the knife community, however, not so new to computer tech and internet society. So maybe I am a bit cynical but I definitely am in no way trying to offend anyone I am just trying to get all the information I can. I know the guys on this forum know their knife stuff so I need to ask you all a question. I want to buy a winkler knife from the blade gallery. My questions are this. Is the website blade gallery a good site and do they just sell previously owned stuff or is it new too? Again please don't take offense i really don't know and i have seen some very shady companies on the web. Second, how is the warranty or customer service with winkler knives has anyone dealt with them?

My guess is that if Daniel Winkler has chosen them as a seller, they are good to go. I believe they've been around along time as well. You can always do a search in the Good, Bad, and Ugly forum of the Exchange to see what people's experiences with them are.

As for Mr. Winkler, I've had only very positive dealings with them. He was very responsive to all my emails, and got my blade back to me very quickly when I sent it for sharpening. Again, if you search his name, you should find lots of threads about people having positive experiences with him. And I believe just even recently he posted that if you have a problem, he will do whatever he can (reasonably) do to make it right.

I bought a few blades from Blade Gallery several years ago... everything went fine.
