Not sure if anyone has suggested them yet but the Benchmade 77x series is a great little knife.
I have a Boron Coated 771 that has been a great piece, Axis lock is hard to beat especially in a small knife.
You may also want to check out the Benchmade Innova 960 series, they are a smaller knife (3" blade) and have a lot of class - they can be found on eBay for anywhere from $135 - $200 and are all limited productions of 100 or less. If you go to a dealer you're likely to pay in the $200-$250 range
I would also second the Mnandi and the Spyderco Kiwi in bone (the all steel one does nothing for me).
I don't have a shot of my 771 but here's one of my Innova. (it's the one on the right)
You should also look at the Benchmade 705. Nice small knife with near bullet proof build quality... here are a couple of mine.
A GT Mini is always a cool knife if you're willing to carry a small auto where you live or if it's legal...
Good luck and have fun, there are a ton of smaller knives out there for the taking
