Need honest opinion on this. Oak and Leather

Hey, How about I build one for a 119. Oak and Leather just for shits and giggles to see how it turns out. GAW maybe?
 
I don't like bright wood like oak, if it were me I would have stained it darker or used a darker wood. But that's just my opinion other than the color of wood I think it looks like an amazing sheath, I'm a pretty big fan of this design now
 
I was wanting to match the color of the oak on the handle of the knife. But I like the darker oaks as well.Thank you for your thoughts
 
I like it. The sheath compliments the lines and style of the knife. I would groove the stitch line, dye all the leather black and radius the edges of the leather a bit more. Nice job, I like the oak welt.

Good point on grooving the stitch line. With the wood I would expect it to be more rigid and less abrasion resistant.

On the next one, maybe match the spine shape rather than having it straight on the sheath?
 
I did groove the stitch line but it isn't deep enough. I will correct that. Good point. And following the spine shape is a good idea as well. Thanks guys. I will start this weekend and take all of the ideas as use them.
