I recently acquired this Parker Pocket Knife w/Damascus Blade. I cannot find any info regarding the Logo/Signature found on the butt of the knife. The scales on this knife would definitely be considered Custom Art of a Native American. The only history I have is that it was purchased at a Trading Post in Oklahoma in the 1990's. I'm assuming the Signature/Logo is from the Artist. I know it says "Henry". The "Fit & Finish" on this knife along with the Custom Art Scales is excellent. I have seen this same Logo on other knives, but no other info. Any ideas?

There are lots of inexpensive knives with custom handles in a native american style. My sister sold expensive ones in a museum in Conn. Hers were made by members of a tribe, but not all you find are. None were marked by the craftsman. Only high end ones, such as David Yellowhorse are marked in my experience.

Yours looks like a Buck clone and there's a good chance the name is the owner and the custom scales are not really "custom" but were put on by a Parker contractor. He's put fancy handles, scrimwshaw and etched blades on a lot of knives. In addition some native american products are really made in Mexico. For example, the great deal you get on native jewelry could be because it's not american or native.

I can't see the pictures, but this knife could've been customized by Michael Prater from painted pony.
He does lots of this kind of stuff ( currently he mostly customizes buck 110's ) and is affiliated with Jim Frost / frost cutlery who has a strong affiliation with Jim Parker.

I believe that is a Parker Cutlery knife. They are made in Japan and offer fancy scales and inlays from the factory.

For some reason he thinks the scales are custom but won't explain why. From what little I can see, there's no reason to think that.

But, you know, thanks for your interest or whatever. :/
