Need ideas:4'' scandi

If you do want to go with an Enzo trapper you can order them from workwear Canada and skip the whole customs deal

I've seen your stuff on ebay before. Couple of your brothers' too, I think. Very nice. I think that you guys are going to sell me a knife or two VERY soon. :D Especially since I'm not that far away from you.

Thanks! I look forward to it.

i recently got a Spyderco Bushcraft second from Rockywolf really nice knife, just needs some work to fit the scales, because they're slightly larger than the tang. the scales are gorgeous, the sheath is nice, the blade is excellent and overall i think it's a great package.

unfortunately, they're discontinued.

the Gray Wolf Knives look like an excellent deal for the price.

Blind Horse Knives makes their Bushcrafter in a scandi version. NOT LISTED ON THEIR SITE, but available from some of their vendors. they are over your stated price point, but not toooo far.

and the BHK Boattail Scandi.

problem is that many of the scandi bushcrafters are spear point and not drop point. kinda seems to come with the territory on most small scale production" knives.

cgd160,thanks for the link.I do like that knife!

Your welcome, sorry I missed your price range. I have a Nordic Bear and love it, it has a nice hand filling handle and Andras is real easy to deal with.

Blind Horse Knives is having an introductory sale on their new knife the Brumby at $110. It has an almost 4 inch blade and you pick the grind.

Another place you may want to lurk is British Blades, they have a lot of Scandi makers over there doing awesome work.

I had AA forge make me a nessy and it's a great knife...simple as a hammer and sharp as a razor (just like I asked for, but for waaaay less $ than I anticipated) You won't be dissapointed.

In you're price range , the Enzo trapper. More to spend? The Spyderco bushcraft in G-10. Simply an awesome knife and no wood handle issues.

UPDATE:
It's been awhile since I've had a peek here & was kinda surprised finding this thread still going.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I ended up buying a Enzo Trapper. Then just before Christmas I treated myself to the new Spyderco Bushcraft. So much for sticking to a budget.....

you could check out the condor sapien. They have been really well received. Also, anything by Brian Andrews is awesome for scandis

I know its not the point you were asking for,but you could check out Kellam knives at Ben's backwoods

Off topic but I just checked out your website, man you do some nice work !!!

Ps Your brothers look great value as well !

I have one of his model 5s. "Value" is exactly what I was going to say. It's a very nice knife on it's own but for the price it ROCKS!!

Not trying to make up anyone's mind and there sure are a lot of knives out there to choose from. I picked up this little Helle Fjellkniven this fall and it is fastly becoming one of my favorites. Zipped thru 2 Whitetails, like a hot knife thru butter. Will still shave the hair off my arms. Nice little knife for the money. Comfy in the hand, laminate steel blade, just under 4", in a pretty nice sheath too. All for around $65.00. Good luck choosing your Scandi.

Sweet looking blade :thumbup::thumbup:

Where did you get your Helle at?

Yeah! Most people just read the first post and then hit reply.

:D

I just received a Helle Viking knife from my wife for Christmas. Very impressed! I'll be looking into Helle in the future.
