So I'm walking the plank in July and need to get the dudes something. Im looking for a knife that is around $50-60 for my groomsmen (7 of them:eek:) and one nice one for my best man (brother and also a U.S. Marine:cool:). So I was looking into the Rat 1 or 2, Delica......???? I need ideas please. Decent knives......I would love to get a sebbie for my bro but I'm going to stick to $150-200 for him. Ive received knives in the past as groomsmen's gifts with my name on it..... POTSTEEL. Not into those, really looking for a decent folder. Thanks in advance!

Also if anyone knows if there is somewhere you can buy in bulk and save a little would be great!

This is probably time for a Delica.

Go with the Titanium handle Damascus blade for the best man and then you can get a different color vanilla Delica for each Groomsman: black, orange, gray, blue, green, purple and brown.

Delica is a decent knife with enough generic appeal that most will appreciate.

For my wedding i bought all my groomsmen kershaw scallions i camo but was about to get them all the buck 110 or 112. My local knife store gave me a discount for ordering that many

Really like this idea!!!

We have helped a lot of guys for their wedding gifts. Shoot me an email to scott@usamadeblade.com and I will do what I can to help or send you to the person who can do right by you!

Last Xmas I did this for both of my American brothers (and myself ;)), albeit with the Ontario Rat 1. The Delica's a great knife, of course, although for a wedding party you might also consider one of the alox SAKs—a bit more "classy," while also being slightly easier on the budget (but not too cheap), and with an engraving area to mark the occasion. They also have a bit more generic an appeal than the Delica, IMHO. You really can't go wrong either way, though.

I gave away knives to my groomsmen too. I went with a simple kershaw skyline because they were thin, light weight, and fairly inexpensive. The rat and delica are both good options. Depending on what you see them using the knife for the buck 110 is probably the most popular model we engrave for groomsmen as a general use or hunting knife. A case trapper is a budget friendly, good looking traditional type knife that is also very popular. Lastly, as already mentioned, a SAK. An alox cadet, farmer, or pioneer would be a gift I would definitely enjoy.

Delicas all around, and perhaps a PM2 for your brother. Otherwise the Persistence is still very nice at half the cost of a Delica.

I'd second the Alox SAKs (my vote's for engraved Cadets), at least for the groomsmen, unless you know they're knife people (see here for more details). That might bring you into Sebbie territory for your brother.
