I didnt want the pic to pop up on the site since its in high res.
the blade says Buck 111 USA...

Any Idea what the actaul name of this is and what the possible worth if any is...

it is in relatively new condition, few small scratches where it folds, but thats it.

Thanks guys...

You have our #111 Buck Classic.

This knife was originally invented at the same time as our Bucklite series for lightweight knives for backpackers. The plastic proved more durable for camp use and one of our Reps, Vern Taylor, introduced us to a company that embossed western belt buckles.

If my memory serves these were early to mid '80s.

It utilized our standard 110 parts and geometry. We later added our 500 series in the embossed aluminum to this family. The banner was for engraving a name etc...

As for value it would depend on the blade markings for the date codes. The earlier I would say more valuable. Having the box and sheath would also add value.

I am sure the next few posts will pinpoint the value for you

I put an extra that I had on eBay for auction last month and it sold for $103. It was mint with the box and sheath. It was a three dot. The leather sheath has some really fancy scroll work on it and is also desireable. Hope that helps.

The Buck Classic first came out in late 1980 and was in production, off and on, through 1990. The last MSRP I found was $76. I have seen them sell on Ebay from $50 all the way up to $200! I would say that what Jerry got for his is about the average going price these days. Having the box, sheath and paperwork is very important to the value as they can not be found at Buck anymore.
Hope this helps.

I still have the sheat, but the paperwork and box are gone... thanks for the help guys... i am guessing that I am ooking at around a 100 dollar value, little more or little less, thanks...

Not to burst your bubble, but with those wear scratches from opening and closing, I'd say more like the $50-$60 range to be realistic.I got mine, in similiar condition, for $40.
