Hey guys im considering purchasing an ENTREK Subhilt Silhouette. I have no experience With Entrek knives however this one caught my eye they look very nice. Need some opinions please.
Thanks

Never handled the Silhouette, but we have a couple other Entrek knives. They are SOLID slabs of steel with handles. If you like the feeling of a substantial blade in your hand, you'll like any Entrek you choose.

Thanks for the reply Kickaha. It looks like you could cut a tree down with it.
In your opinion are they a good value for the $$?

I'd say yes. Will never break, ever. I'm going to get the Destroyer, one of these days...

I've got a Destroyer in my shop right now and yes! Its one hefty chunk o steel! The handles are a bit smaller than I am used to but they're not too small. I just finished sheaths for a customers Badger and ........ darnit, I cant remember the name, its a 7" fighter style blade. They all had that same handle design. I saw the subhilt and it looks very nice!

Entrek is quite the value for the money, I hope to explore some of their other designs, especially the larger handled models.

Well thanks for all the great info I just purchased the Subhilt Silhouette and should have it within a few days.. Leatherman I just checked out your website and am very interested in having a drop leg rig made for this knife. "Im not a big fan of plastic rubbing on my blades." From what I have been told the sheaths that come with the Entrek are not so hot. Is this something you would be interested in tackling?? That is after I play with it for awile lol.

Got it today!!! I do not regret buying this one!! Thanks for all the help guys.

Wow! Thats nice! Congrats! I could set ya up with a sweet rig for that one when your ready. :D Just let me know! :)

Nice shootin iron too, is it a Wilson?

Saw this one too late.

I like my silhouette. Does the work I need it to. It's kind of underused at this point lol! It chopped a frozen tree limb without a problem. Cut packing boxes without a problem. Great piece I think.

I'd just like to point out that these knives are made out of 440C. I've seen a lot of 440C naysayers around here lately, and it's really good stuff when properly heat treated. Rant mode off.
