If you put either hand cranks on it or stepper motors it should work with sharp tooling and light passes. Not to mention plastics and woods, it will eat those.

the little buggers 350 pounds!! i just like the knee mill thing :) its tough repositioning certain things on a round column. keep the opinions comin.

Hardinge made some of the nicest machines around from all I've heard. I bet it would work pretty well for you. If not, let me know whee it is and I'll dispose of it for you :D

Bummer ! That sure is a cute little bugger.

Hardinge is cream of the crop in regards to machine tools. Good stuff !

Buying new, I'll bet you couldn't even touch the little collet indexing fixture for less than $1K

Just out of curiosity, do you know what the final cost ended up being ?

Sorry for the too late help

:o

I'd rather not talk about it :jerkit: :D it went for less then the collets are worth. woulda, coulda, shoulda........ dadadadada, ya know :o
