I need a little info on a recent purchase. I bought a belt buckle but it is not an ordinary buckle. It is a fancy stainless steel oval with a miniture pearl handled knife in it. it is made by Joseph Knuth and it is model #43, serial #12. A very attractive buckle.
Does anyone know about when they were made, I have not seen any info on buckles on the forums. Also what are they worth, I probably paid to much but I Like it
Thanks in advance.

Knuth has been making knives since 89 and he is located in Illinois. Warner's listings has his prices from $150 to $1,500 some more.

My knives 2000 says the same thing, I guess I will have to contact him to get more info.

I sure do wish he had an email address.

Bo, I do not know what the buckle is worth except to tell you that it is worth What You Paid for it. That purchase defined it's value. Especially if you bought it because you Liked It.

Don't worry too much about the resale value of the object of Art. Enjoy it. It should be worth much more than the cash you paid for it. Because You Like it. And because there are likely very few buckles like it anywhere in the world. Mr. Knuth made it with his hands, mind, and heart. I think it might even be Priceless!

Enjoy!
