Need Jacket Help...

For the Carhartt people, does the blanket lining have any significant advantage or disadvantage against the quilted lining?

I've had a few fo their shirts and they're darn good, but no experience with the jackets and overalls.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
I'm thinking about going with the Carhartt Active Duck Jacket, but it's available in 2 different linings. Quilted Flannel and Thermal. Which one do you guys recommend as far as durability, warmth, and comfort?

Thanks again,

Jeff

jefroman, last winter they were available in three different linings in my area. Thermal(polyester lining), flannel, and quilted. I ended up buying three for family members. I bought two of the thermal linings and one that was just quilted. The quilted one is definitely warmer. Carhartt does have a website, so you can take a look at what they have to offer this year. If you are long in the waist, you can get them in long waist, but the stores I visited did not carry them. They had to be special ordered. The Carhartt's are definitely tough working coats. Big D1

I saw that, Frank. Pretty funny.

"...there I was, nothing between me and the grizzly but a sharp stick and my Carhartts..." :D

You'll find some Carhartt on sale here at Sierra Trading Post and they have several other nice buys on outerwear. One caveat, a lot of their stuff is close-out gear from the manufacturer, it comes and goes pretty quickly. So if you see something you like in your size and price range...pull the trigger. Waiting for a lower price doesn't work well with this particular merchant.
