• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Need knife suggestions for emergency bags...

Thanks for all of the input so far guys. I will put some of these choices in front of the buyer and see what he thinks.

Thanks again.

I traded a Benchmade Rant DP II and a Blackjack Grunt (China made), I should have held onto those. Right now, I leave a Mora in my truck. Easy to sharpen etc.

Look for used Rats too. Can't go wrong with Kabar either. But the Mora, Ol Hickory idea is a good one too. Or a Mora and a 12 in machete. throw in a pocket chainsaw and ya got a good light kit.

I just picked up another carbon mora 10 minutes ago. They have a new logo now ,instead of Eriksons or frost they are "Mora of Sweden. Also a neat logo with a knife tip design.

I also like the Pilots survival because it is cheap ,is good 1095 steel with a hammer pommel
and has a decent sheath with a stone or touch ups to the edge.

New Graham has what looks like good sheaths for BlackJack knives including the grunt.

I have three emergency bags. Each one has a Mora in it. There are two reasons for this. First off they are cheap enough to just leave them in there. Second, There really is not any other knife that I would rather have when and if the chips were down. I have used them long and hard without a hic-up.
