Need knives for my groomsmen

A little over your price but I have been very impressed with the quality of the Benchmade Auto Benchmite. I think that I got mine from One Stop Knife Shop for about $80. ;) :p

How about a Camillus EDC? It's a 4" closed Darrel Ralph designed stainless frame lock with a 154CM blade and it's even American made! You can get it plan edge or partially serrated. There's even space to engrave their initials if you want to. It's a great all around knife made with a much better blade steel than any 420 crap. It's a knife that many would carry for years and not feel lacking. Maybe you could even squeeze a Talonite one in for yourself to commemorate the special occasion:) It would look just like all the other ones....

Either that, or I'd seconf the notion of a traditional slip joint stockman like a Case or Queens.

BTW, I've seen the Kiwi several times at shows but never knew the name. I don't want to start a flame war here, but IMHO, that is one fugly knife. It might have great ergos and be well built and all the rest and is probably a great knife as it has many fans, but you'll never see one in my pocket. Yech!

All of the knives mentioned would work well. We probably sell more of the Kershaw chives (rainbow and black seem to be the most popular) for this type of purpose with the Benchmite models being the second most popular. If money were no object you should get all of your groomsmen the new Microtech UTX 70 models (assuming that they are all qualified military, LE or SERT personnel :)

Good Luck,

Slipjoint, Schrades are nice. You can get the 34OT (middleman stockman) from quickknife.com for less than 25$ I believe.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD DO FOR CHEAP RIGHT NOW!!!

Victorinox Soldiers. The design may be 113 years old but it still works(1891-2004) Nice alox scales, excellent quality and fit and finish! Classy looking little knives and as I said ... CHEAP. $13 at Target right now. You could engrave the blades is you want too.

If you are looking for a locking blade knife I think the Spyderco Kiwi as others have mentioned is a good choice. I would get the Stag inlayed ones.

From Spyderco you also have the SS Dragonfly. The Meerkat might be something fun to give them.

Oh I almost forgot,enifeworks.com or SMKWs just got in more Spyderco Navigators for 29.99 each.

There's the Spyderco Pride, Benchmite, the Meerkat for a neato factor with it's new lock, or CRKT K.I.S.S. so guys could use them as money clips too! SOG Blink's are pretty inexpensive with an assist opening like the Chive.

I just love my Kershaw Rainbow Leek. Excellent workmanship.
I own numerous high-end custom folders, and I like this as much as those!
It has a 2 7/8 razor sharp blade, w/assisted opening and a sliding safety too.
Beautiful finish (which I might add is tough as nails!!!!).
I've bought 5 of these as gifts to my good friends.
It's dressy enough for a suit and is a great conversation piece at dinner parties. Best bang for the buck I've ever found.

Best of luck on the wedding. ;)

You can get Victorinox SAK Classic in sterling silver for about $60. Engraved, I think that'd make an excellent gift.

Within your budget you could get Browning Presentation Lockbacks with stag, cocobolo, or quince handle scales. They come in nice presentation cases. Look at the models 305, 306, and 307 on the browning site:

You can find them at a considerable discount at cumberland knives:

Here 45 days I have to give an order has Cumberland, they have to charge my count banquaire twice and I did not receive anything, large deception

I have used Cumberland in the past and have not had problems. If your order is outside the USA there are sometimes theft problems or customs problems in transit. Did you telephone Cumberland? I do not find traces of a bunch of complaints when I do Google searches. When I try and find complaints about Cumberland I typically find praise instead. It sounds like time to ask for a refund (or two refunds).

Congradulations on your upcoming marriage!

Those Brownings are nice knives!

Buck 503's might also be a good choice!

Also, I think that Victorinox has a Pioneer with spear and pen blades that have an engravable spot on the sides of them, those would be nice, too!

Me also I read of good reports/ratios on them, I must be the exeption, and in more they do not answer has my last mails?

For that price and those requirements, I'd say look at a Benchmade Monochrome. All steel, framelock, N690 blade, and pretty sharp looking. Full MSRP is only $50. Very nice little knife. (It is Red Class though, so not made in USA, if that's a factor.)

If your budget were more flexible, for something like this, I'd definitely say go with a Benchmade 705. Small enough for carry even by office workers, elegant enough to be a "Wow!" gift, and the best lock in the world. (And made here, with 154CM.)

Money where my mouth is - the BM 705 is what I chose for my own groomsmen.

I have had problems with orders from other companies in the past.
I get my problem solved the quickest when I telephone.
I suggest that you call.

How about a Case Stockman? Classy knife fro EDC and will not intimidate Sheeple.

I just got married May 22! Congrats!

I gave my buys each (ME TOO!) an SAK Soldier model, and a Princeton Tech Pulasr II keychain LED light. They went over well, and the knives and lights were used during the wedding for all kinds of odds and ends.
