I just started a new thread where those participating in the stabilized burl evaluation can post their photos and results in one place.

Thank You everyone who is taking part. I hope everyone will take a look and let these makers know what a fantastic job they are doing. These knives look great!
All the evaluation pieces have been sent to those who are participating. Thanks everyone.

I just had a dry vacuum pressure injection system custom made for me so I could stabilize burl and spalted woods for knife handles. The stabilizing solution I will be using is Resinol 90C that will be arriving Monday. As soon as it arrives I will be stabilizing a few batches of burl handle blocks.
I was curious if some of the more experienced knife makers would consider evaluating the wood?
Here is what I had in mind; for $5 to cover my shipping cost I would send a good block of stabilized burl. What I would ask in return is that you write back and let me know what you thought of the stabilized wood. I will also be putting together a scrapbook to show photos of what different knifemakers were able to do with the wood.
Please let me know if you guys think this is a good idea and if you would like to try out a piece. I have really good burl, but what I want to know is what you think of how it is stabilized. If you have a website let me know so I can pick out a piece that will be good for your style of knives.
I can only afford to provide 1 block each to the first few dozen people who want to try it out. Thanks in advance for all your good help.
