Hey guys,
You may have seen my review of an H.I. khukuri: http://funditor.110mb.com/Chiruwa Ang Khola Khukuri Review.html
The karda is a nice little knife, but I'd like to augment it with a Mora of some sort. This will take the place of either the chakma or the karda (depending on whether the karda can satisfactorally do the chakma's job).
So now I need to know: what is the length and width of the bolster/handle on the red birch handled Moras? I'm also interested in the size of the 510. If this could slide into the sheath with the khuk, that would be fantastic. The opening is an oval (more like a rounded rectangle) 1/2" x 7/8"

Thanks,

CanDo,
I just slipped my 510 into the sheath opening and it fits, but is loose. The 510 would fall right out if you flipped the sheath upside down. I suppose you could modify it slightly. For the record, I tried it in my 16.5 inch 26.3 ounce chiruwa Ang Khola sheath. Your sheath should be about the same size.
