Need new EDC - comments please!

Goju,
Welcome to the forums.
Do a search of your favorites (spyderco para) and read what everyone has to say about said knives (spyderco para). It won't matter which one you decide on (spyderco para) because you will always wonder if there is something better (spyderco para) out there.
Good luck.

I've had both the Ares and the Para-Military. I think if I had to chose between the two it would be tough to say which is better. The Para-Mil was tip down carry which I don't prefer. As it comes from the factory it rides entirely too high in the pocket for my tastes. Of course I changed that but even still some people don't pimp. The blade steel is better in the Para mil, but there is nothing wrong with the Ares steel. 154 CM gives me fits to get the edge I like but it seems to satisfy lots of other users. I do like the Axis lock over the compression and the Ares I had was silky smooth to open and close. It was much nicer than the Para Military in smoothness. I guess overall in this comparison the Ares would win out for me personally.

One I recently got to work on and highly recommend is the AlMar Nomad. This is a very nice knife. Tip down again but I'd change that if it were mine. Even still the rest of the knife is quite impressive even if it is a liner lock.

From your choices and post, the 732 and SERE are notable. I carry a 732 as one EDC and have used it extensively over the last few months. It's still solid, easy to sharpen, a slimmer handle than the Grip and a nice size for EDC.

The 732 is great. I got one, liked it so much, I ended up getting a few more (LE's).

The sculpted handle is a piece of art, and works for many different tasks. It's a fantastic all around knife for EDC.

All your replies are appreciated.

I am leaning toward the 732, wish I could find one with the D2 blade....

Don't got one but wish I did...Spyderco Manix

I got a Paramilitay and it's a bute...thin,strong lock, handy overall. And the one I grab for first amongst a drawer full of knives
