Thanks all. I think I have it narrowed down to the ZT 0560/0550 and the BM Adamas. I was leaning towards the BM just due to the shear discount they offer. I'm however going go need to watch more videos on the Adamas to make sure before I pull the trigger. I'm very familiar with the axis lock (two previous knives). Thought it might be a nice change but maybe not.
The ZT0550 is much simpler (beefy framelock vs omega spring Axis lock) and is a very stout folder.
I'll echo previous recommendations for the CQC-8 (or the Horseman which is just a smaller version) and the ZT0200, in addition to the ZT0550. They're all simple, reliable, proven knives.
I'm a big fan of Emerson knives, so I'd say Commander or Super or CQC-15.
I'm not a big flipper fan, but ZT does make nice knives.
If I can recommend a great value knife.. Cold Steel Recon series. Yeah, it's AUS8, but it's not crap. And they are built like tanks for $65.

+1 on the ZT0200. I've used mine on 4 deployments now, without issues. Simple, strong, and comfortable. Also fairly affordable if you can find one. Canadian Armed Forces EOD.
