Hi folks!

I am starting to get my lady into knives, and of course she has expensive taste! [emoji23] She's got a cheap Amazon china folder right now, but I'd like to get her something nicer.

I am shopping for a birthday present for her currently, and am looking for the following:

- Folder (non-auto)
- Damascus blade
- Drop point/trailing point - she likes fairly drastic swoops
- Non-tacticool
- Price: ~$100 or less

I saw a Kershaw that fit the bill pretty decently, but I cannot find it anymore. If anyone else has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

What about a case toothpick in Damascus ?
It has a dramatic curve to its handle and has a sorta swoopy clip blade ( they also cost under 80$ and have various handle options including mop I believe )

If your going to check out KershawGuy, do yourself a favor and check his "Kershaw Blem" section!

+1 on Case. It has a lady colt pink with damascus also.

Boker makes a number of sub-$100 damascus knives I find attractive, e.g.:
http://www.knifecenter.com/item/BO01MB180DAM/boker-magnum-damascus-bone-folding-knife-01mb180dam

The magnum line is bikers cheaper knives ( I've seen some that were basically mtechs )
And that one looks a lot like a Pakistani folder I recently , knowing the quality that sometimes gets the biker magnum stamp and the high cost of good Damascus Steel knives of that size or bigger , I'd wager that it may be made in Pakistan.

I couldn't imagine a Damascus Steel knife of that size and price not having been made in Pakistan, so I googled " Pakistani Damascus lockback " and eventually found a picture of that knife . That doesn't necessarily prove anything, but it does for me ( that swooping spine on the blade is also a dead giveaway )

Skyline for sure! Beautiful Alabama Damascus. Note: I might be prejudiced since I live up the road from the forge! And I own half a dozen skyline! I had one engraved for each of my son's.

So Boker outsources that line of knives to Pakistan, and not China? (confused)

The magnum line of knives are cheap, so if they want a low cost Damascus Steel lockback they'll get it from wherever they can. Everything else they offer is easy to get or have mad in China.

But yes, I'm fairly certain this knife was sourced from Pakistan.

Kershaw's 1620DAM (Scallion) might be a good choice...

it is Assisted Opening (not sure what you mean by 'Auto')

Thanks so much for all the recommendations guys!

I ended up getting TWO damascus skylines from KershawGuy, as he has blems in stock now! One for each of us. Woot.
