Need referral/review

Does anyone have any experience with "African Custom Knives" out of Baton Rouge, LA. I'm looking at Herculus Blomerus knives and would like some feedback from anyone who has dealt with AFC. Thanks all.

I didn't know they existed until you posted this. I was in Baton Rouge this morning. I looked over their site and asked about a retail store front and got a response saying they have several offerings an a retail shop Bowie Outfitters in BR. It seems they are an importer similar to Himalayan Imports. I don't know anything about them or their makers though.

I have bought at least 3 knives from ACK and have been very pleased with their service.
Customer support is excellent, including communications via email. Once when
I had a lengthy issue with one of their makers, ACK stepped in and made everything right
though they really had no dog in that fight. All good as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds like this has already been resolved, but just adding my $0.02. I've never bought from them personally, but I have seen them at knife shows, etc. They're pretty well known - I wouldn't have any concerns buying from them.

BTW, I've been looking at that Saboteur since Ken owned it. Wish my budget allowed for it.

Adding my 2 cents too - the ACK guys are great! They represent and work with some of the very best makers in South Africa. They also go round to the shows in SA and identify up-and-coming guys. You should definitely feel confident purchasing from them.
