I'm in the market for a small fixed blade to EDC.

I'm thinking 6 inches or smaller. I've had my eye on a Michael Morris' EDC or maybe even a Gene Ingram pocket hippo.

Does anyone have any other comparable suggestions? Pictures and links are appreciated! :D

Thanks!

I've got a Morris EDC60 coming in the mail this week (hopefully) I can put some pics up and let you know what I think once it arrives.

Bark River has lots of small blades to choose from. What price range are you shooting for, that always helps to know.
6" or smaller overall length or blade length?

Snody menace is a sick custom blade round 300$. I think it might be 4 inch blade or so

The most I'm willing to pay is $250. I might be tempted to pay a little more if it's extra sweet! :D I want 6" overall or smaller. Sorry about that!

6" OAL, well i think an izula would be good. if you wanna get something pricier you could consider a busse game warden.

Like I said, Bark river has a few models that fit that description with a myriad of handle scale choices. Also keep your eye out for various custom maker offerings, most in that category are under $250.
Check out the Fiddleback forge Runt and EDC. You might like one of those.
If money was not an issue I'd say the Busse Game Warden but it might be hard to find one under $275.

Are you against a skeletonized knife with a cord wrap? If not I'd say get in on the Swamp rat Swamp Warden pre-order right away. That might be my favorite choice in that size range and at a great price (probably under $70 shipped).
Have fun deciding.

The Izula goes without saying IMO. Just get one, if you don't like it you can sell it off quick.

Hand forged Japanese neck knife by a 17th Generation Yoshimoto blacksmith, ABS Mastersmith, Murray Carter.

I think that these knives are, hands down, the best small fixed blades. Obviously that can't be true to everyone, but the quality and workmanship of Murray Carter's knives is impeccable. They're truly functional pieces of art, but in no way should you treat them like that. These are meant to be used, meant to gain enjoyment out of, and the edge that these will take is incredible! Each one is hand forged, san mai construction with a high carbon, low sulfur carbon steel core, and a japanese stainless steel outer layer. Really, I haven't been able to find any knives that are of this quality/construction. I doubt there are many American blacksmiths trained in Japanese blacksmithing, let alone that spent 17 years learning in Japan from a Yoshimoto blacksmith. The HRC is 63-64, but the other day when I sharpened it on some stones it felt like I was simply 'touching it up', and not trying to create an edge like how S30V feels. So it's not like it's too hard to work with, it was incredible how quickly, and how sharp, I got this knife. They are a little out of your price range, but worth every penny. I think you should definitely look into Carter Cutlery.

edit: blade pictured is 6 1/2" (169mm), white g10 with red liners, and the core is the fantastic Blue Super Steel.

How about a Coal Creek Forge SHARK Neck knife? My radar just pinged on one of them recently. Can't vouch for size, as I don't own one, but they certainly do look functional.

The JK EDC may be what you are looking for. Well within your price range. Check the makers forums.
