Doubts here after using Murray's knives. I went through more than I can count on one hand. My next purchase will the one of Diamond Blade's friction forges knives. I wish they had more patterns but I've heard good things.

RKK Snitch-34 dollars, ATS 34 steel. I just ordered mine today, pretty excited about it. I really like the Buck Paklite Skinner, a designer blade at a throwaway price. The DPx HEST is also superb, I'd recommend that to anyone.

Hey Payette, may I ask, where did you find a Snitch for such a great price? I've been holding off on that blade. Thanks

I usually carry a Spyderco Street Beat or Benchmade Activator 211. They are both great little fixed blades for EDC and do not weigh much. The Activator is a good option of you are looking for a small EDC fixed blade.

i have a little ingram pocket bowie with a wallet sheath.

pretty slick design, but i never carry it.

I suggest a BRKT Bravo necker or an Izula to hold you over, and an order to John for something small to be delivered later this summer. The production model will help the wait for your custom blade pass more smoothly.

I really like the way you think! :)

Thanks for the suggestions, fellas. I love having options.

What doubts do you have after using Murray Carter's knives? How many did you 'go through', actually? What happened to them? I've talked to Murray Carter about repair, and he generally says he can repair any damage fairly well (even referenced a knife that came back to him with a hole eaten in the carbon steel).

For the last 6 or 7 years I've used Murray's Original Models for work and I definately favor the Blue Super Steel. It has shown itself to be hard, resistant to chipping and easily sharpened... I used to wear a knife out about every year or two, these are giving me 4 to 5. I'd like to see somebody do a comparison test on them to see if there is anything better. I will not use a folder for work (you have to stand up to get them) so I focus on smaller fixed blades.

I'll call shenanigans on you. Sorry. You don't have to suggest these knives, but you don't have to intentionally bad mouth aspects in his company that simply DO NOT exist.

Great ergonomics. I picked up a couple at Blade and have been playing with making a kydex multipurpose sheath system for them.

I recently picked up Bark River's PSK and was really disappointed with the sheath. I'll play with making a new sheath for it as well.

Something like this:

I'll jump on the 2 month old Izula bandwagon. :D

But that Falkniven WM1 has been calling my name. That is one slick looking little knife. It will be mine.
