need small knife, thick blade

I have 2 Esee Izula's and they are great little knives , but not in the same class AT ALL as the Scrap Yard's 311 . I would second the vote for the Scrap Yard 311 for sure .

Specs at a glance:

Overall Length: 8"
Blade Length: 3 1/2"
Thickness: 3/16"
Steel: SR-101 / 58-60 Rc
Handle: Resiprene C

Blade Width: 1 1/4"
Grind: Flat Saber
Finish: Black

And for about the same price as the Izula .

Boker Minx is a nice small, fixed-blade edc. There are many smallish(3" or so) edc knives that are custom made by members on the forum and deserve some attention. I have a Josiah Gravelle FK-small and a Burton Haruff damascus(both fixed blades) that are the two I rotate for my daily carry.

There's a reason Bussekin knives have such a large and rabid following. Call the HOGs (and the Rats and the Dogs) fanboys if you want to. But I wouldn't suggest going up against their knives with somebody else's.

Mike Stewart said it best . . . "Jerry Busse makes some of the toughest knives on the planet".

I like the Hoffman Condor, it is a old knife and no longer made. Good information on the Blackjack web page or Google it.

If you are a fan of Beckers, then you only got 1 month to wait for a tweener Bk15, 16 or 17. One of those will fill your needs & probably be more usefull all around than the one you mentioned. Becker for the win !

I have a Marcus Lin(aka flatgrinder on the forum) sharpened prybar that has 4" blade and is approx. 9" overall. it is 5/16" thick.....which is ridiculous but it is also insanely sharp(5160 steel). It is heavy, but it is a beast and can do small camp chores as well as batoning firewood. Price isn't too bad, but they are pretty hard to come by.
