Hello all, I've been lurking around on this forum for a month or so now, first time posting. This place kicks @$$. Anyway, got a question : I currently have two bali's, a BM42 and a BM47a. I love them both, but the blades on them seem too big for EDC. Not that I mind carrying either one of them around. Right now my BM42 is my EDC, and I wear it horizontal on my belt in the sheath, but the thing is I don't want to get caught with such a large blade on me and have it confiscated, etc. That would be devastating. My question is, is there a bali out there comparable in quality to the BM's that I own, but with a 3 - 3.5 inch blade? I have gotten used to flipping my BM's, and don't want to downgrade to something that is not as smooth/rugged. If you think that I shouldn't worry about it (I live in Mass.), let me know that too. On another note, I must give credit to Benchmade, I used to flip about 8 years ago when I was a kid and had some charming china cheapies that all busted. These BM's I recently bought are butter. I oiled them up the other day and tighteded them up a little, and they're better than new. I almost never use the 47a (I want to keep it in mint cond. for now), so the 42 has seen LOTS of manipulating, it's been dropped on cement a few times, and taken a lot of abuse in general, and it just asks for more, and they even SOUND good to me when I'm flipping them around. Anyway, enough rambling (can you tell I like my Benchmades?), hope somebody out there can answer my question.
Happy Flipping,
George
